Description
S. Marzano variety tomatoes are obtained from selected seeds and grown in a typical geographical area, the Agro Sarnese Nocerino, according to the Specifications adopted by farmers and whose application is controlled by the Consortium for the Protection of S. Marzano Tomatoes through an authorized body.
Both for the seed and for the cultivation area that is distinguished by a soil fertilized by the ashes of Vesuvius (Campania Felix) and by the water tables that rise from the Lattari and Picentini mountain ranges, we obtain the typical product with a characteristic sweet and sour flavor that enhances any dish in which it is used.
Upon arrival at the plant, the individual batches of each grower are registered and quickly subjected to processing that may also include the addition of basil, always locally produced, which enhances its aromatic characteristics.
For San Marzano D.O.P., as for all fine products, the boxes are numbered one by one to protect their authenticity.
