Description

Spaghetti 12 De Cecco

Historically, there is an official trace of the name “spaghetto” in the first dictionary of the Italian language by Nicolò Tommaseo and Bernardo Bellini (1819). Here, spaghetto is inserted as a “singular masculine diminutive of spago” and mention is made of “Minestra di Spaghetti: which are pastas the size of a small string and long, like sopracapellini”. A curiosity: in 1957, the BBC broadcast the first documentary on the production of spaghetti and the next day the TV studios were inundated with phone calls from viewers asking for the names of producers and distributors of spaghetti to buy them. Spaghetti is so versatile that it can be served with any condiment, from fish to meat, from vegetables to cheese, but it is also excellent enjoyed plain, seasoned only with extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkling of parmesan. Available in 500 g and 3 kg packs
